What is Fortnite Sprite Field Guide? #
Fortnite Sprite Field Guide is a fan-made collection tracker that helps you record which sprites and variants you have collected, plus which variants you have mastered.
Do I need to create an account to use the app? #
No. The app does not require sign-in or account creation.
Where is my collection data stored? #
Your data is stored locally on your device/browser. On supported browsers, IndexedDB may also be used as a local backup layer.
Does the app send my collection data to a server? #
No. Collection progress is designed to stay on your device unless you choose to share or export it.
How do I back up my collection? #
Use the “Back Up Collection (JSON)” button in the app. Save the exported file somewhere safe (for example cloud storage or a synced folder).
How do I restore my collection from a backup? #
Use the “Restore Collection (JSON)” button and select your previously exported JSON file.
What happens if I clear browser data or reinstall? #
Local collection data can be removed if browser/app data is cleared. Always create a JSON backup first to avoid losing progress.
Can I use the app offline? #
Yes. The app supports offline use once it has loaded and been cached on your device.
How do I install the app on my phone or desktop? #
Use the “Install App” button when available, or use your browser’s Add to Home Screen/install option.
Why is the Install App button not showing? #
Some browsers or contexts do not expose install prompts immediately. Try opening the app in a supported browser and ensure the site is loaded normally (not in private mode).
What does “Needs Mastery” mean? #
“Needs Mastery” shows variants that are collected but not yet marked as mastered.
Can I share my collection with others? #
Yes. Use “Share Collection” to share your progress. You can also use “Share Missing List” to generate and share what you still need.
My progress looks wrong or missing. What should I do? #
First, refresh the app. Then restore from your latest JSON backup if needed. If the issue continues, contact support with your device, browser version, and steps to reproduce.
Where can I get support? #
Visit the support page in the app and use the Chaos Created contact route:
https://chaoscreated.com/get-in-touch-with-us/
Is this app official? #
No. This is a fan-made companion project and is not an official Epic Games product.
