Fortnitemares 2026 is live, and the Field Guide has four new Sprites and a new variant to go with it. It’s been a busy month since the Override launch, so this update also rounds up everything else we’ve added along the way.

Four new Sprites for Fortnitemares

The new arrivals are Spooky Dash, Vampire, The Deer and Dumpster Dive. Spooky Dash lets you dash through some objects, Vampire recovers health when you damage an enemy, The Deer makes your melee attacks hit harder, and Dumpster Dive gives food bonus healing. All four are filed under C7S4.

Trick or Treat variants

Trick or Treat is the new variant. It covers the four new Sprites and every C7S4 Sprite that already had variants, so there are 24 to find. Mega Man is still Base only. Trick or Treat variants are expected in game from 8 October, and they’re already in the Field Guide so you can tick them off as soon as you get them.

What’s in Fortnitemares this year

This year’s theme is The Game Is Cursed, and the event runs until the end of October. Five Nights at Freddy’s is the headline collab, with Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria on the map and animatronic bosses to take on. A Nightmare on Elm Street, Slender Man, Beetlejuice, Black Clover and The Purge are also confirmed. Complete 26 event quests before the month ends to unlock the free Jack-A-Nape skin.

The app has dressed up for the occasion too, with a Fortnitemares theme in pumpkin orange and midnight purple.

Catching up on September

If you’ve not checked in for a while, here’s what else landed since Override launched. Loot Hacker arrived as a new variant along with four new Sprites: Overshield, Onigiri, X-Ray and Mega Man. Then came Bounty Hunter, another new variant, with five more Sprites: Birthday, Pond, Morgana, Blinky and Crash Bandicoot.

145 to collect, and nothing lost

At the start of September, Season 4 had 12 creatures and 36 variants to collect. It now has 25 creatures and 145 variants. Every Season 4 Sprite, apart from Mega Man, now comes in six variants: Base, Gold, Cheat Master, Loot Hacker, Bounty Hunter, and Trick or Treat.

A tidier Events Calendar

The calendar now includes Fortnitemares 2026, this week’s Power Hours, and Mastery Monday. We’ve also fixed a niggle: month-long events like Fortnitemares no longer push upcoming dated events out of view, and when an event carries on from an earlier day, its row now shows when it ends.
