Timedancer - The Lawson File on KindleTimedancer – The Lawson File, an interactive game book, launches on Amazon Kindle – 6th June 2012

Timedancer is an interactive science fiction series which launched on Windows Phone in 2011, combining live action video, exploration, puzzles and gameplay together through episodic downloads.

Following the release of Episode 2 in the mid-2011, creators Ari Abraham and Ali Maggs began to think about how they would solidify the transmedia nature of Timedancer.  They had always viewed Timedancer to be a storyworld that would branch out beyond phone apps onto other forms of narrative mediums.

Working with up and coming writer George Heritage, Abraham and Maggs tasked him to weave a tale about three new timedancers, never before seen in the episodes, which could then be turned into a Kindle exclusive “choose your own adventure’ book” bringing the once-popular genre and combining it with the modern technology of e-readers to deliver a compelling and interactive experience, much as we do with our app episodes.

Set in the years prior to the Timedancer Corporation making time travel technology available to the masses, The Lawson File tells the stories of Nicole Maniere, Ethan Sullivan and Billy Metcalfe.  It chronicles how their lives are manipulated by the mysterious Tempus, owner of the Timedancer Corporation, for his own agenda.

The events in this book take place alongside some of the events seen in Episodes 1 and 2 of the much-heralded interactive series on Windows Phone.

Packed with action, intrigue and excitement, Timedancer – The Lawson File is an explosive addition to the Timedancer universe.

Timedancer – The Lawson File is available for immediate download from http://amzn.com/B0088H3W7U (USA) and http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0088H3W7U (UK).

About the Authors

ARI ABRAHAM started making short films at the age of 16 because he loved telling stories and was rubbish at drawing.  Born in Greenwich, London, he spent the formative years of 4 to 18 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  He then returned to England, going to university in Bristol and now resides between London, New York & Los Angeles.

Ari has written on a variety of projects including feature films and video games.  He is the co-creator and lead writer on Timedancer, the Zombies Ate My… games and Earth.0. Most recently he returned from collaborating with Blacklight Transmedia in Hollywood and currently freelances for Fountainhead Transmedia in New York as well.

GEORGE HERITAGE grew up in and around Bristol and, from a young age, he showed a passion for the arts, concocting short plays for his parents and taking part in extra-curricular productions for his school and even playgroup. This enthusiasm grew throughout George’s school career at Chew Valley Comprehensive and Performing Arts College during which he attained lead roles in school productions ranging from Bottom in Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Nights’ Dream to Seymour Krelborn in Little Shop of Horrors. George also wrote, directed and acted in two short films during his studies: El Sangre – a psychological horror and The Rise and Fall of Harold Fudgewinkle – a teen comedy. George’s dedication to performance was recognised by his school and he was granted an award for “Outstanding contributions to performing arts”.

In 2002, George joined the ITV West Television Workshop, where he took part in performances (Sweeney Todd – 2009, Jekyll and Hyde – 2008) and secured small roles in BBC’s Casualty and The Story of Tracy Beaker among others. George first worked alongside Ari in 2005, when he was chosen for the role of Jason in Ari’s graduation short The Mighty Tykes.

More recently, George has turned his attentions to writing, creating his fledgling production company Brillsticks Productions. He has written, directed, produced and starred in its first feature film – Smashed – a romantic horror due out in summer 2012. He is also developing a podcast (The Rumble Pack) and currently fronts a straight-talking YouTube movie review series called Worst to First.

George has recently joined Chaos Created as a writer. He is looking forward to continuing in this field of work “cos, not even messing, he proper loves writing.”
