We’ll be guest speaking at the London Edugames event this Wednesday (14th September 2011).
We’ll be covering our work developing EAL software package, Langeroo. Langeroo is our educational software for teaching English as an additional language and we’ll be talking about how it was developed, the choices made and how it was localised to make it easy to roll out into additional markets. Plus, how our plans to expand the portfolio to other platforms and with additional content to drive users to the web-based version.
We’ll also cover a little about our on-going work for TES (and iboard). And, just for kicks, we’ll chat about developing for mobile and slate devices, namely Timedancer and Zombies Ate My City and how the lessons we’re learning there could be rolled back to make educational software more engaging.
Also speaking at the event will be Agata Stadnik. Agata is a designer, researcher and teacher with a background in the visual communication field. In her recent work she aims to create powerful and unforgettable user experiences; she design “things” to help people communicate, learn, create, and possibly have fun. Her creative projects, games and installations foster creative social learning and interaction.
If you want to come along to the event, check out the web site and register – we’d love to see you there!
