We’re thrilled to share the launch of our latest project – a beautiful new website for Central Bristol Nursery Schools Federation. Building on our successful partnership with St Werburgh’s Park Nursery School, we’ve created a digital platform that brings together three exceptional early years settings under one unified online presence.
Last week, we had the absolute pleasure of launching the new website in Bristol with teams from all three nursery schools present. They were thrilled with the new site and incredibly excited to have a new platform to connect with their communities!
Three Schools, One Vision
The Central Bristol Nursery Schools Federation comprises three distinct nursery schools, each with its own rich heritage and character. The Limes Nursery School has been serving Whitehall’s diverse community for 40 years with its holistic approach to child development. Rosemary Nursery School, Bristol’s oldest nursery dating back to the 1920s, offers children a tranquil urban oasis in St Jude’s. St Werburgh’s Park Nursery School, built in 1931 as an open-air nursery inspired by pioneer Margaret McMillan, continues to blend historical heritage with modern early years practice.
Our challenge was to create a website that celebrated each school’s unique identity whilst showcasing their shared commitment to exceptional early years education and community engagement.
Design with Purpose
Working closely with Rachel Barnwell, Acting Head Teacher, and her dedicated team, we gained deep insight into the federation’s communication needs and community goals. Understanding that effective communication between nursery schools and families is paramount, we designed the website with straightforward navigation and dedicated sections for each setting. Parents and carers can easily find the latest news, photographs, and updates specific to their child’s nursery, whilst also accessing federation-wide information about events and opportunities.
The visual design reflects the nurturing, vibrant environments these schools provide. Through beautiful photography and a strong visual identity, the website captures the joy and discovery that define daily life across all three settings.
Accessibility and Inclusion at the Core
Recognising the diverse communities these nursery schools serve, we built comprehensive accessibility features into the website architecture. The platform includes translation capabilities, allowing content to be accessed in multiple languages.
These accessibility tools ensure that every parent and carer, regardless of their first language or individual needs, can stay connected with their child’s educational journey and access important school information independently.
Building Community Connections
Beyond serving as an information hub, the website acts as a community connector. Each nursery school page features regular news updates, event announcements, and opportunities for family involvement. We’ve also integrated social media connectivity, complementing the new Central Bristol Nursery Schools Facebook page to create multiple touchpoints for family engagement.
The platform supports the federation’s goal of transparent communication and community building, helping bridge the connection between home and nursery through thoughtful digital design.
A Foundation for Growth
This project represents more than website development – it’s about creating a digital platform that supports three remarkable educational institutions as they continue serving Bristol’s families. The website provides a scalable foundation that will grow with the federation, supporting their mission to ensure every child’s journey begins with care, learning, and community.
Our partnership with Central Bristol Nursery Schools Federation continues beyond the initial launch. We’ll be supporting the federation from now on, helping the site grow and evolve with their needs. This includes posting news and updates on behalf of their team, ensuring fresh content reaches families regularly, and collaborating on new site features as the community’s digital needs develop.
We’re proud to have partnered with Central Bristol Nursery Schools Federation on this meaningful project, continuing our commitment to creating digital solutions that serve community needs and celebrate educational excellence.
