We’re incredibly proud, as always, to be working with TeenTech as part of their Creativity Inside: Digital Media Programme – an initiative supported by the Amazon Regional Creative Fund that’s bringing UK secondary students closer to careers in some of the most exciting creative industries around: gaming, film, TV, advertising, music, and fashion.
About Creativity Inside
Creativity Inside is a TeenTech programme running throughout the spring and summer terms, featuring a series of virtual masterclasses and workshops delivered by industry professionals. The programme is designed to give students real, hands-on experience of the tools and techniques used in creative careers — not just theory, but actually making things.
Sessions span an impressive range of disciplines, and the programme brings together some brilliant names. The Launch Event was hosted by broadcaster and presenter Inel Tomlinson, the Video Production Innovation Live session was led by journalist and presenter Tina Daheley, and the Creativity and AI session was hosted by Professor Keeley Crockett. Sessions are virtual and free for schools across the UK, with all recordings available for playback until the end of the academic year.
Our Role: The Masterclass Live Sessions
Chaos Created’s Ali is delivering all of the programme’s Masterclass Live sessions – the hands-on, practical workshops where students get stuck in and actually build something. These run from February through to the end of the summer term, spanning App Design, Game Design, Stop-Frame Animation, and Computer Animation.
The Game Design strand is a three-part series using Microsoft MakeCode Arcade, taking students from building their very first playable game to creating a real-time online multiplayer experience. The App Design session, which has already taken place, guided students from initial concept through to a working prototype using free tools, and the two Animation sessions return after Easter to cover both stop-motion and digital animation techniques.
About TeenTech
TeenTech is an award-winning charity, founded in 2008 by Maggie Philbin and Chris Dodson, dedicated to helping young people aged 8–18 understand the opportunities available to them in science, technology, creative and digital media, and engineering, regardless of their gender or social background. Through lively, focused, age-appropriate initiatives and a supporting Award scheme, TeenTech works to raise aspirations, build skills, and open doors to contemporary careers for students across the UK and Europe.
TeenTech collaborates with companies, universities, and business organisations to build sustainable programmes with a particular focus on regions of greater social need. Their alumni go on to act as powerful ambassadors, helping thousands more young people recognise and develop their potential.
Chaos Created has been working with TeenTech since 2013, and we wholeheartedly support their mission to make these opportunities accessible to every young person.
