We’re excited to share our latest collaboration with St Pauls Nursery School and Children’s Centre – a comprehensive 27-minute Q&A webinar designed to help parents navigate one of the most challenging aspects of early childhood: settling into nursery.

A Long-Standing Partnership

Our relationship with St Pauls Nursery School stretches back to 2007, when we built their original website. Since then, we’ve been working closely with their dedicated team, supporting their mission to provide exceptional early years education and family support. This video project represents another step in our ongoing partnership to help them share their expertise with the families they serve.

The Challenge: Making Expert Knowledge Accessible

Starting nursery can be an overwhelming experience for both children and parents. St Pauls’ experienced team regularly field questions from worried families about settling-in processes, separation anxiety, and transition challenges. The nursery wanted to create a resource that would provide evidence-based guidance whilst offering reassurance to parents navigating this significant milestone.

Our Approach: Collaborative Content Creation

We worked directly with Louise Scott (Lead Teacher & PSED Local Specialist Leader) and Dilly Baldwin (Lead Teacher & SENCO) to record this comprehensive Q&A session. Our team handled the technical aspects of filming whilst Louise and Dilly shared their professional insights on eight key questions that parents commonly ask:

  • Why parents need to stay during settling visits
  • Practical strategies for helping children feel confident
  • The importance of proper goodbyes (and why “sneaking out” backfires)
  • What healthy separations look like
  • Supporting children who need extra settling time
  • Managing resistance and big emotions
  • Understanding why room transitions can trigger renewed anxiety

Expert Insights, Professional Production

The resulting video combines Louise and Dilly’s deep understanding of child development and attachment theory with clear, practical advice that parents can implement immediately. Our post-production work ensured the content flows smoothly, with clear chapter markers helping viewers navigate to the topics most relevant to their situation.

Key messages throughout the webinar include:

  • Secure attachments form the foundation of resilience
  • Gradual, supported settling leads to confident, independent children
  • Separation distress is normal and healthy
  • Every child’s timeline is different

Extending the Impact

We’re now working with St Pauls to break this comprehensive resource into shorter, bite-sized content pieces. This approach will make the expert guidance even more accessible, allowing parents to quickly find answers to specific concerns whilst still having access to the full webinar for deeper understanding.

The Result

The finished video offers compassionate, evidence-based guidance that reflects St Pauls’ commitment to supporting not just children, but entire families through the early years journey. By combining professional expertise with accessible delivery, we’ve helped create a resource that can genuinely ease the stress of nursery transitions for countless families.

This project exemplifies our approach to working with educational organisations: understanding their unique challenges, amplifying their expertise, and creating content that serves their community’s needs.
